Creating Webhooks

Send agreement events to external tools for custom automations.

4 min read

Webhooks let you send real-time event notifications from Field Onboard to your own tools — like Zapier, Make, or a custom API endpoint.

Creating a Webhook

Go to Settings → Integrations and scroll to the Webhooks section. Click Create Webhook:

  • URL — the endpoint where Field Onboard will send event data (must be HTTPS)
  • Events — choose which events trigger the webhook (e.g., agreement signed, agreement sent)
  • Secret (optional) — a shared secret used to verify that incoming requests are genuinely from Field Onboard

Delivery & Logs

Each webhook has a delivery log that shows:

  • Event type — what triggered the delivery
  • HTTP status code — the response from your endpoint
  • Request payload — the JSON data that was sent
  • Response body — what your endpoint returned
  • Timestamp — when the delivery occurred

You can also test a webhook from the detail page to send a sample payload to your endpoint.

Use Cases

  • Trigger a Zapier workflow when an agreement is signed
  • Update your CRM with signing status
  • Send a Slack notification when a new agreement is completed
  • Log events to your own analytics system

Managing Webhooks

From the webhooks list, you can enable, disable, edit, or delete any webhook. Disabled webhooks won't send events but their configuration is preserved.
